Whoopi Goldberg had things to say pertaining to United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noems on The View

Whoopi Goldberg did not hide her feelings about Kristi Noem.

The hosts of The View—Whoopi, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin— were discussing the death of ICU Nurse Alex Pretti at the hand of ICE agents during January 27 episode. Whoopi had mentioned how Donald Trump’s administration seemed to be doing “damage control.” Alyssa Farah Griffin expressed that she believed the White House is seeing this as a “messaging problem rather than a policy and execution problem.” She stated that Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino has been “sidelined” amid claims that the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, may be “out.”

Alyssa’s specific comment about Kristi, who left people shocked with her staggering before photos ahead of her transformation, was met with a “please” from Whoopi. Moments later, a picture of Kristi went up on the big screen as the Ghost actress can he heard saying in disbelief, “Her face.”

Kristi’s face has been a topic of conversation especially when before and after photos of the 54-year-old were put side by side. This has sparked cosmetic surgery speculation over her alleged transformation.

South Park even joined the conversation by mocking Kristi’s appearance in an episode of Season 27, as they portrayed her with melting face on the animated comedy show.

Kristi has not publicly admitted to undergoing any plastic surgery. She only publicly confessed to getting a dental procedure to repair her smile. In a nearly five-minute video that she posted on X formerly Twitter in 2024, she spoke about Smile Texas improving her smile following a biking accident.

“I’m the governor of South Dakota and had the opportunity to come to Smile Texas to fix my teeth, which has been absolutely amazing,” she said.

This video, promoting the cosmetic dentistry company, led to a lawsuit filed by Travelers United, a consumer advocacy group. They accused Kristi of “advertis[ing] a product or service without disclosing that she has a financial relationship with that company,” per the Guardian.

Back in August 2025, The Mirror US spoke with a Board-certified plastic surgeon Jimmy Sung from Tribeca Aesthetics about her rumored appearance. He began by stating that Kristi had “the quintessential Mar-a-Lago Face.”

“It is about a campy expression of what a wealthy, powerful, non-Northeast Corridor American should look like. Fashion is often a reflection of the current state of society; we live at a time when raw displays of power and wealth are in vogue,” Sung explained.

The plastic surgeon shared that he believes Kristi has undergone a number of non-surgical procedures such as hair extensions, Botox, fillers, a fat-dissolving agent under the chin, threads to the face, and bleached her teeth.

He also went on to say that he thought Kristi got Botox for her forehead, glabella, crow’s feet, and neck, as well as filler in her cheeks, nasolabial folds, lips, chin, and jawline. Specifically speaking on her neck, Sung elaborated that he thought Kristi utilized the fat-dissolving agent Kybella, which is a FDA-approved injectable treatment used to reduce unwanted fat in the submental region.
