As Super Bowl ads begin to dominate the media, even Karoline Leavitt is sharing her thoughts.

Dunkin’ decided to get creative with their commercial, choosing to appeal to their local demographic. On Instagram, they posted a graphic showing off the New England area and Washington as a state. The coffee and donut company pointed out that New England has 2,011 locations whereas Washington has none. After all, Starbucks, their competitor, was founded in the state.

This year’s Super Bowl is between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, with massive bets on the line, so Dunkin’ was subtly showing their support to the Drake Maye–led team. “And we’re not gonna apologize for it,” they wrote.

Karoline, President Donald Trump’s press secretary, added the post to her own Instagram story. “This is so good,” she wrote on the post in pink text.

The 28-year-old is from the region as she was born in New Hampshire. In fact, she was the Republican Party nominee in the 2022 election for New Hampshire’s 1st congressional district. While she didn’t win the position, as the state is a predominately blue voting block, she did continue to pursue her political career.

Karoline stayed in New Hampshire for most of her life prior to her move to Washington, D.C. to support Trump. In fact, her family owns a successful ice cream business in her hometown. Karoline did leave the town to attend Central Catholic High School, a private Catholic school in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She then returned to New Hampshire and studied at Saint Anselm College is a private Benedictine in Goffstown and graduated in 2019.

She wasn’t the only one who weighed in on the latest Dunkin’ campaign. “So bring Dunkin to Washington????? Like this isn’t our fault!” said one person in the Instagram comments.

“If you live in NE and you just missed your turn to go to Dunkin, don’t worry there’s another just 2 blocks ahead,” another joked.

“New Englanders are so deluded they don’t even realize how terrible Dunkin’ coffee is and as a west coaster I will not be gaslit otherwise,” a third chirped.

The Super Bowl is known for their quirky advertisements, which have expanded to slots preceding the event in recent years. One particular ad, though, sparked serious controversy as Matthew McConaughey partnered with Uber Eats. The joking advertisement featured celebrities going on a conspiracy spiral, suggesting the NFL created football to get people to eat more food.

“McConaughey’s Uber Eats commercial might be more annoying than this game!!!!” said one person on line. Another added, “The Matthew Mcconaughey Uber Eats commercial may be the most annoying commercial I have ever seen.”
