Gillian Cooke’s embarrassing wardrobe malfunction has gone viral again amid the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Cooke, a former bobsledder, had her bum exposed to the harsh conditions when her uniform gave way right before the 2010 Games.
The Scottish athlete was preparing to push off during a World Cup event in St. Moritz, Switzerland, when her spandex suit broke open, giving the cameras a full view of her rear end.
Cooke played it off like a pro and continued with her race, finishing seventh alongside Nicola Minichiello.

The pair went to the Olympics in Vancouver the following month. They crashed out on their third run and did not start their last one.

We haven’t seen anything close to this in this year’s Games, but someone’s thong has been exposed on the ice, creating another viral moment.
As for Cooke, she opened up on the malfunction the following year. She was just happy to have worn underwear at the time, though we can’t imagine why she wouldn’t have.
“I’m just so grateful I was wearing underwear that day,” she said. “I hesitated only for a second, but if we’d pulled out we’d have been disqualified. There was nothing I could do but go for it.”
“I blocked it out until I got in the sleigh and sat down, when I was suddenly reminded it was mighty cold,” she added. “But there was interest in that clip from all over the world. The Netherlands were very keen on it for some reason.”
Trust us, it wasn’t just the Netherlands…
