CHLOE Melas has revealed that she’s been battling a secret health struggle for 15 years.

The hidden ailment has left the star previously hospitalized and has been the cause of countless surgeries.

Sitting down to speak on the Today Show, Chloe announced the title of her new book which dives into her health struggles.

She said: “It’s called “The Girl’s Guide to Guts”. I actually have a copy of it here with me today.”

After being prompted to tell everyone more about the book, Chloe then opened up about her journey with ulcerative colitis.

She continued to say: “So for 15 years I have been battling something called ulcerative colitis.

“It is a form of irritable bowel disease. You might have heard of also something called Crohn’s that falls under IBD.

“Well, as I’ve been hospitalized in surgeries and countless colonoscopies over a decade plus, I also couldn’t find answers and community.

“And IBD and IBS and colon cancer are all on the rise.

“So one of my best friends, Judy Batalion a New York Times bestselling author, we decided to team up together – she also has ulcerative colitis – to write this book and interview experts.

“But also it’s a memoir. It’s funny and it’s sad.”

Chloe finished off by saying she hopes that her book helps millions of girls to “love their guts and know that they are not alone.”
