Savannah made the announcement Monday morning on Today alongside Jimmy Fallon, who shared he will be the executive producer of the Wordle game show.

“We’ve been holding this secret between us for a long time now,” she told viewers.

Savannah also thanked Jimmy and NBC for waiting for her to be ready to move forward with the new project after the tragic disappearance of her mom, Nancy.

Wordle will feature contestants competing for money prizes in a Wordle arena, with, Savannah, 54, as host.

Savannah will be filming Wordle this summer, but the show’s official premiere has not yet been announced.

It is unclear how filming will affect her daily appearance on Today.

Last year, Savannah visited The New York Times offices to see how wordsmiths created her “daily gaming obsession.”

Fellow host Carson Daly floated the idea of turning it into a game show, and Savannah liked it, according to Today’s announcement.

In an Instagram story Monday morning, Savannah wrote, “Happy to have something joyful to share,” as she thanked NBC, The New York Times and Jimmy after the morning show’s announcement.

The happy news is surely welcomed, after Savannah’s mother was abducted from her Arizona home back in the early morning hours of February 1.

On Mother’s Day, Savannah made an emotional plea for help finding her mother, Nancy.

“Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie – we miss you with every breath,” she wrote. “We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you.”

Savannah urged anyone with information to come forward, noting that even a small detail could make a difference.

The anchor ended her message by asking for continued prayers to bring her mother home, alongside a video filled with family memories.

Her husband, Michael Feldman, also posted a supportive Mother’s Day message to honor Savannah during her difficult time.

He called her the strongest person he knows and said he was surrounding her with love.

He included a photo of Savannah sharing a close embrace with their two children, Vale and Charley.
