A 12-year-old post on Erika Kirk’s Instagram has caused a frenzy as it connects her to the Disney Channel realm.

On November 7, 2014, the businesswoman posted a photo of herself with Wizards of Waverly Place star David Henrie. Within the picture, younger Erika, dressed in a paisley poncho and a rosary, was posing side by side to the Hollywood actor, who was wearing a blue striped sweater. Within the caption, she wrote, “You have one life…make it your mission to use that precious gift to change the world. So blessed to have friends like @davidhenrie who understand that calling.”

In the comment section, one wrote, “What a random post to see lol. 2014.”

Another added, “I never conceptualized these two being from the same cinematic universe.”

“Everything I learn about her is so confusing,” a third said.

“Wait WHAT,” someone else questioned.

It is unknown if the two are still friends and how the two originally knew of one another. However, many are speculating they met through their Catholic upbringing. The actor has been a vocal advocate of his faith, like Erika.

It’s been over three months since Erika lost her husband. On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Charlie had just begun a speech at Utah Valley University when he was fatally shot by a sniper. He was initially hospitalized in critical condition but ultimately died from the wound.

Since then, Charlie has been thrusted into the limelight, taking on the CEO role of Turning Point USA, his non-profit organization.

She has been outspoken with her grief and the moments that have felt the hardest in the process. Her appearance on Wednesday was one of them as she admitted, “Being on campus right now for me is a spiritual reclaiming of territory.

“There is a lot of symbolism in today. It’s Wednesday, seven weeks. And the more that I am coming to grips with the permanency of this nightmare, the more that I am starting to realize and witness that the enemy, he doesn’t want you.”

Charlie first met Erika back in 2018 when the two met at a Turning Point USA office opening. The two bonded over their shared passion for conservative activism.

While speaking on a panel in 2024, the influencer admitted he “knew almost immediately” that she was “the one.” He then recalled the first moment they had met, comparing it to “an interview.”

Three years after their initial meeting, Charlie and Erika tied the knot during a private and “very intimate” ceremony in Scottsdale, Ariz. They welcomed two kids during their marriage.
