Robin Roberts has never held back what is going on in her life. From the good, the bad, and everything in between, she has been completely transparent. This is what longtime viewers really appreciate about her and why they miss her when she is absent. 2023 is set to be a monumental year for Roberts as she is preparing to tie the knot. She and her fiancee, Amber Laign have been together about as long as she had been on GMA. Now, they are getting ready for their dream wedding, which has taken her away from the show more than viewers would like.

Robin Roberts still keeps fans in the loop with what is going on. Some suspected she was getting married in August yet she only said that they were close. Now, according to The Sun, Roberts got very emotional and is sharing this deeply personal moment with the world. She and Amber are set to wed in about two weeks. With that, they are taking viewers along as they get everything set for this monumental day. On Monday, August 28th, Robin shared a video entitled “road to the ring.”

In this clip, Robin and her bride-to-be were seen trying on dresses back in June. Though they showed the ladies in their dresses, no one will actually see them until the big day. Therefore, they were covered up perfectly by flowers. Robin Roberts privately spoke about the experience: “It’s been fun watching sweet Amber. Just watching her get emotional and having fun and giggling. That’s been the best part of it.” As for Amber, she was in disbelief that she was in disbelief that this was happening to her as it never crossed her mind.

The Best Is Yet To Come

GMA went through the whole clip of the couple preparing for their wedding. However, Robin Roberts started to mist up when talking about the best part of it all. “Watching Amber. She is just– I’m sorry. She is just– we are just deliriously happy,” she shared. Roberts added a gentle reminder that they have been through so much to get to where they are today. Both are cancer survivors but took care of each other during these extraordinarily difficult times. Clearly, they are not taking anything for granted.
