Ken, 49, took over for Alex after his death in 2020.

Reddit users noticed that Jeopardy! episodes used to run out of time before they would finish the game.

And now all of the categories are done before the timer runs out on a majority of the shows.

Wrong responses and interviews can take up a lot of time, but fans noticed that the interview lengths are the same and the contestants are getting less wrong.

Jeopardy!’s Ken halts show and yells ‘that’s not correct’ before player’s huge win

So, what’s going on?

“Why do games never run out of time anymore?” a user asked.

“A recent game where time ran out with four clues left on the board made me realize that it’s been a very long time since I can recall that happening.

“This used to be a regular occurrence in years past. Has the show just been getting better players that are more capable of clearing the board?” they ended.

FANS REACT

One Reddit user said they think Ken reads the clues faster than Alex did.

“And also perhaps the editing team at Jeopardy cuts out every millisecond of unnecessary silence to trim the episodes down. it might also be that players these days are missing fewer questions (especially true during these tournaments where we had excellent and experienced players),” they went on.

Some users think that the show edits a lot, including awkward silences, and shifting to the next clue when no one buzzes in.

Another Jeopardy! fans said that Alex would make jokes or quips in between clues or categories, which would cut into the time.

The last aspect that makes the game go faster is that fans think the contestants were answering faster because most of them have been on the show before when it comes to tournaments.

MAN OF THE HOUR

Although fans were praising Ken for the subtle change he made to the game, he recently revealed one move that he can’t take from Alex.

He made a surprise guest appearance at the Inside Jeopardy! Live on Tour last Friday that was attended by The U.S Sun.

The tour stopped at The Edge in Hudson Yards, New York City.

Ken was the last speaker of the event and received a standing ovation from the crowd when he walked out.

The host joked about one thing that he will never match up to Alex with.

Ken said that he may not be as handsome as Alex as the years go by and that he will never rock a moustache like the previous host did.

“I don’t think I’m going to be the good-looking silver fox we were so lucky to have with Alex,” he joked.

Executive Producer Michael Davies, and Producer Sarah Whitcomb-Foss, wondered, “We won’t be seeing a mustache?

“I don’t think you’d like it if you did,” Ken replied as the audience laughed.

“You will see the ratings drop.”
