Good Morning America host Robin Roberts is celebrating a huge milestone. She shared her exciting news on Instagram. There are many fans who look forward to seeing Roberts every morning on their television screens. She has survived firings and other controversies, and fans adore her.

In fact, she has been gracing their screens for twenty years. On Instagram, Robin shared a very special video. The video featured the very first time she went on air as a co-host of GMA. Her caption read,

“Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since this day…my first day at the GMA anchor desk with @dianesawyer and Charlie. So grateful for the warm welcome that morning and every day since. Saying “Good Morning America” is still a thrill! #GMA50 #memorablemoments”

She recently shared a segment on the show about a new children’s book that two of her siblings wrote to honor their mother.

The book they wrote is called “Lucy Sings on Lucy Street.” Her siblings wrote it to honor their late mother. The news of their book comes as the world prepared to celebrate Mother’s Day. Robin traveled back home to Mississippi to speak with her family about the new book.

Roberts noted that their mother really did grow up on Lucy Street in Akron, Ohio. While visiting the home she grew up in, Robin and her family talked about how their mother was always into music. Two big things that were always present in their lives were music and church.

They also noted what a determined person she was. Needless to say, they were proud of their mother and who she was. She taught them all well.
