A University of Michigan insider has made some curious revelations following the stunning events of the last 24 hours.

Sherrone Moore is no longer the head coach of the men’s football program at UM, with the school having terminated him for cause on Wednesday. Moore is accused of carrying on an inappropriate relationship with a staffer who worked under him. And, given the method of dismissal, he won’t be enjoying a buyout sum.

John U. Bacon, a renowned author with deep ties to the university, spoke to FOX on Thursday.

He revealed that Moore was called into athletic director Warde Manuel’s office early on Wednesday afternoon, where he was fired.

According to Bacon, both Moore and the staffer initially denied being in a relationship. However, the latter confessed on Wednesday morning, offering “receipts” in the form of text messages and emails.

Moore remains in custody after allegedly breaking into the staffer’s house and then threatening to harm her, as well as himself. Bacon noted that he is surrounded by mental health personnel while under detainment.

Meanwhile, Michigan is in search of a third coach in four years. And they are not expected to promote from within.

Bacon told FOX he does not believe Moore will ever coach again, adding that Warde isn’t off the hook here either. The AD’s future is thought to be up in the air, given that rumors of said relationship had been circulating for a while.

There’s also the fact that Michigan has been involved in multiple scandals over the last few years.
