Bad Bunny made a powerful political statement on Sunday evening as he performed the Super Bowl LX halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, appeared to make a strong reference to five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, who was detained by ICE agents last month.

During his energetic performance, Bad Bunny was seen handing his Grammy award to a young boy, who appeared to be watching a clip of the singer giving his speech at the music ceremony – which took place last week – on a small television.

Fans tuning in at home were convinced that Bad Bunny was making a strong nod to Liam, who was taken by ICE on January 20 when he was walking home from school in Columbia Heights, Minnesota.

Taking to X, one person said, “The little boy, Bad Bunny, gave the Grammy to resemble Liam Ramos. Wouldn’t be surprised is it was intentional.”

Another person asked, “Did Bad Bunny just hand Liam Conejo a grammy?!” and a third said, “Pretty sure Bad Bunny gave one of his Grammys to Liam Ramos, well done sir! What an AMAZING SHOW!!! Love over hate, always.”

Someone else questioned, “Was that Liam Ramos who Bad Bunny gave the Grammy award to?” while another was convinced it was Liam and wrote, “Benito Bad Bunny gave his Grammy to LIAM! I’m crying! EPIC! Bad Bunny is an absolute AMERICAN HERO!”

It comes one week after Bad Bunny called out ICE at the 2026 Grammy Awards when he accepted one of his accolades.

The Puerto Rican star from Vega Baja won the award for Best Música Urbana Album at the Grammy Awards. When accepting his award from the presenters, Marcello Hernández and Karol G, Bad Bunny took a moment to call out U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Before thanking the academy, his fans, and God, he said, “I’m going to say ICE out.” Celebrities stood up, cheered and applauded, with Bad Bunny being the first artist to receive a standing ovation of the night. The “DtMF” singer continued, “We are not savage. We are not animals, we are not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans.”

“Also, I will say to people, I know it’s tough to know not to hate on these days and I was thinking sometimes, we get contaminados [contaminated], I don’t know how to say that in English,” he continued, “The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.”
