While Pink’s family was on a snowboarding trip for New Year’s, she rang in 2026 alone from a hospital bed. But it’s not a sad turn of events, she says. Instead it’s a choice she made for her health — and it’s one that will make 2026 even better and brighter.
“I want to say Happy New Year’s to everyone. I am so happy to say goodbye to the snake year and welcome in the horse. I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025,” the singer wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a hospital bed selfie posted on New Year’s Eve.
While the year “was a doozy for all of us,” she wrote, “there was so much beauty.” She reminisces about sharing adventures with her kids this year, and “helping them to follow their dreams.”
And she’s sending the year out with a major medical milestone.
“I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body,” she explains in the caption. “It may not be a fancy Face lift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck. A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth.”
In the Instagram photo, Pink is in a hospital gown and has a bandage on her neck. But the 46-year-old is beaming with a smile. Back in 2021, her husband Carey Hart underwent a spinal surgery to replace discs in his lower back. And that same year, Pink underwent hip surgery.
“Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport,” she said. “And as I sit here by myself on New Year’s Eve in a hospital room while my family is happily snowboarding, I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made.”
She ended her post with positive words for the new year and a hope that others can make the same choice to prioritize their health.
“I’m going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness,” she wrote. ” Happy new year and may you experience more joy than sorrow, more sunshine than rain, more love than hatred. Let’s shed that old snake skin. And find our horsepower.”
