As the hours pass, the news surrounding Sherrone Moore continues to deteriorate. Moore was fired “with cause” by the university on Wednesday. The university found evidence of an “inappropriate” relationship with a staff member.

Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel announced the firing of Moore. That was only the beginning.

In the immediate hours, the Saline Police Department assisted the Pittsfield Township Police in detaining Moore. He remains in custody at the Washtenaw County Jail in Michigan.

The Pittsfield Police Department said it responded to a call “for the purposes of investigating an alleged assault.” The statement also confirmed an unnamed suspect had been taken into custody. Moore’s name was not mentioned in the statement.

The 39-year-old coach now faces arrest, as well as being fired within 24 hours.

TMZ Releases Damning Audio Related to Sherrone Moore’s Arrest

A Michigan employee called police to report an attack by Sherrone Moore. The woman claimed he had been stalking the alleged victim for months, according to the 911 call audio.

The call, obtained by TMZ, came before Moore was arrested after his firing.

“Male at the location is attacking her … said he’s been stalking her for months,” a voice could be heard saying. The call came from the address of an “executive assistant to the head coach,” according to the publication.

The release of the audio follows the news of him having a sexual relationship with Paige Shiver. She went private on her Instagram account soon after the news broke.
