KELLY Clarkson has reportedly been battling with the idea of canceling her daytime TV show or welcoming a replacement.
The singer-turned-host has been faced with personal struggles following the death of ex Brandon Blackstock.
Sources claim the seventh season of The Kelly Clarkson Show, currently airing, will be the last, according to Page Six.
A source told the outlet that Kelly, 43, leaving the show is a “definite.”
Another show insider claims it’s “likely that it will not go on.”
“[Her show] is a lot to put on, and looking at the landscape across daytime television, it’s not sustainable anymore,” the source said.
Rumors have been swirling for some time that former Today host, Hoda Kotb, has been eyed as a potential replacement for Kelly.
She is one of many that NBC is reportedly considering for the role, should it be necessary.
Page Six reports that no decision has been reached at this time, though rumors are swirling throughout the network.
“People are jumping the gun,” an insider told the outlet.
“Nothing is definite yet, and it’s still a long season.”
Buzz about Kelly stepping down from The Kelly Clarkson Show at the end of her contract later this year began during the host’s leave of absence.
She took some time away from NBC’s cameras after her ex-husband Brandon died in August 2025.
Kelly and the late talent manager married in 2013 and divorced in 2023.
The couple shared two children: River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9.
Brandon died at age 48 following a private battle with malignant melanoma, a serious and aggressive form of skin cancer.
He had been battling the disease for three years.
Following his death, Kelly released a statement on Instagram in which she addressed his illness for the first time publicly while announcing that she had to cancel the remaining shows of her Las Vegas residency that month.
“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she wrote at the time.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
The next morning, on August 7, Starstruck Entertainment, Brandon’s former company, announced that he had passed away.
They wrote: “it is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.
“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years.
“He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.
“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the company concluded.
