As Savannah Guthrie’s mother remains missing, Fox News halted its programming schedule to share the latest update in the search for Nancy Guthrie, 84, which suggested the latest tactic from authorities.

Nancy was last seen on January 31. However, she failed to appear at a friend’s home for a church service. The 84-year-old parent was reported missing. Investigators believe Nancy was abducted from the property in Tucson, Arizona. Kidnappers have demanded a $6 million ransom from the Guthrie family.

Nancy’s famous daughter, Savannah, spoke in a new video  on February 9, where she vowed to the unknown suspects, “We will pay.” It comes as the FBI released bone-chilling video of a masked intruder breaking into Nancy’s home, containing a sinister clue.

On February 10, Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany said, “Breaking News. Moments ago, NBC is reporting that law enforcement is expected to release a surveillance photo of a potential subject in the Nancy Guthrie case, according to two enforcement officials. A federal source confirmed to NBC and Fox News digital.”

Before the surveillance photo was released, Fox News contributor Professor John Yoo added, “This shows they’re putting aside the idea of a ransom because if you were really negotiating with someone to hand someone over and do a deal with them. The last thing you would do is throw up a picture of them.”

“I want to ask. What is the playbook? Now they’re trying to appeal to the public, trying to gather more data. What is next in the federal investigation playbook? What does the (DOJ) Department of Justice do next in this case?” Yoo continued.

Fox News then shared videos and images of the subject the FBI is looking into in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie. The photo collection shows what appears to be a masked man tampering with the Nest camera at her home.

A series of black-and-white images shows the subject standing in the doorway of Nancy’s home. The subject appeared to be wearing jeans, a zip-up sweatshirt, leather gloves, and sneakers. The subject also appeared to have something in his left hand that looked like a weapon, such as a gun.

“It does appear to be a gun,” NBC News correspondent Tom Winter believed it to be, as media outlets shared the same images and videos.

Miguel Clarke, a former FBI special agent, added, “Whoever is depicted in that image was not expecting that he was captured on video, and that it was gonna be released globally. Let’s give that individual an opportunity to react, to get nervous, and start to make mistakes.”

“This is a logistical nightmare for somebody who wanted to kidnap this individual and maintain that person alive because of the challenges of keeping somebody against their will for 10 days; they’re bound to make mistakes,” said Clarke.

“Not moving with purpose. This is not a professional kidnapper. It’s not what he does for a living. Did not seem prepared to deal with a doorbell camera. It seems like they were surprised and did not make preparations or plans to deal with that,” he added.

“He does not appear to be a particularly fit individual, not overly so. He’s not projecting soldier, sicario, whatever you want to call it. An individual, who for a living, grabs people against their will,” Clarke closed.

Pima County Sheriff’s department said in a statement, “Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie‘s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors, including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.

“Working with our partners – as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” the statement closed.

It comes after an expert revealed the terrifying reason Guthrie ‘may never be found’.
