President Donald Trump kept quiet in a very rare moment as the joint military operations between the United States and Israel against Iran continue.
On February 28, President Trump, 79, confirmed in a video posted on his Truth Social platform that the U.S. and Israel launched “major combat operations” against Iran, which led to the death of their supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. During the eight-minute clip, Trump claimed that Iran’s “menacing activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our bases overseas, and our allies throughout the world.”
At least three U.S. service members were killed in the fighting following the strikes on Iran. Their identities haven’t been released to the public.
On March 1, Fox News shared a nearly 30-second video on social media. The video captured the president stepping out of Air Force One. He had arrived in Washington, D.C. after departing from Florida.
Trump donned a large black trench coat and covered his head with a red cap. He slowly walked down the staircase and stopped at the bottom.

The president turned towards the press and raised his hand, waving. He did not bother to answer questions from journalists as he turned and continued walking.
The caption simply stated, “President Trump arrives back in Washington as joint U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran continue.”
Five other soldiers were seriously wounded following the operation known as Epic Fury.
“Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty,” the statement read from to U.S. Central Command on March 1. “Major combat operations continue, and our response effort is ongoing.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to make a trip to Israel early next week as tensions between the U.S. and Iran threaten to explode.
Rubio will “discuss a range of regional priorities, including Iran, Lebanon, and ongoing efforts to implement President Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan for Gaza,” according to a State Department statement.
On the same day, the U.S. Department of State released a statement alongside the governments of Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, saying the retaliatory attacks “targeted sovereign territories, endangered civilian populations, and damaged civilian infrastructure.”
“The Islamic Republic’s actions represent a dangerous escalation that violates the sovereignty of multiple states and threatens regional stability. The targeting of civilians and of countries not engaged in hostilities is reckless and destabilizing behavior,” the statement.
We stand united in defense of our citizens, sovereignty, and territory, and reaffirm our right to self-defense in the face of these attacks. We remain committed to regional security and commend the effective air and missile defense cooperation that has prevented far greater loss of life and destruction,” the statement concluded.
