Along with everything that Michael Strahan already juggles in his post-NFL career, he recently added the title of grandpa to his resume. The 52-year-old’s oldest daughter, Tanita Strahan, officially welcomed a baby boy named Onyx. This arrival made Michael Strahan a grandfather, officially.

This is a proud moment in everyone’s life, especially for those who are lucky enough to have that title. This is certainly another one to add to Michael Strahan’s extensive resume, and his many fans were happy for him once his grandson officially arrived.

GMA Host Not Ready To Fully Embrace Being A Grandfather?

As excited as Michael Strahan has been to welcome his grandson, he may not be fully ready to embrace his new title just yet. In recent Good Morning America scenes, during the Deals & Steals segment of the show, an interesting exchange happened.

While trying on one of the many products, Strahan reminded that he was a “girl dad.” However, that’s not all. Tory Johnson reminded the co-anchor: “Exactly! A girl dad, and a grandpa, you look fabulous.”

While this comment was meant to be a compliment from Tory to Michael, Strahan physically recoiled as the realization set in of his new title. Strahan responded, saying: “You had to throw that in there, didn’t you?”

So, while Michael Strahan may be over the moon at becoming a grandfather, it’s clear that he is still getting used to it, and that he hasn’t fully embraced the title just yet. Of course, GMA anchors regularly poke fun at each other on the air, and this was another great example of that.
