The search for Nancy Guthrie has entered its fourth week after the 84-year-old mom of Today show host Savannah Guthrie was taken from her home on February 1.

Nancy Guthrie has now been missing for 24 days as investigators continue to scramble for answers.
It is suspected the 84-year-old, who is the mom of NBC TV icon Savannah Guthrie, was taken from her multi-million-dollar home in Tucson, Arizona, against her will in the early hours of February 1 – a mere six days after her birthday.
And now, in the latest turn of events, several social media videos on TikTok are sharing the claim that a dead body has been found “floating” in a pond near the Catalina Foothills. However, investigators have said this is “not accurate.” It comes after an ex-FBI agent revealed the hidden codeword that Savannah used in her message to the kidnappers.
Two videos, posted by TikTok users aaayyyllll2 and news.crime.tv2, each have over 30,000 views and have sparked a frenzy.
Both videos claim that police received a report of a floating body on Saturday, discovered in an abandoned pond near Sabino Canyon. They wrongly claim the body was found just two miles from Nancy’s residential community.
The videos claim that police investigations revealed numerous dragged footprints near the water’s edge. They claim that the footprints were different from ordinary walking patterns and appeared to show “signs of struggle and forceful movement.”
It’s also alleged that the body’s state of decomposition indicates that it may have been floating in the water for over a week. They claim that further examination of the remains is underway.
However, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson has since told Newsweek, “That video is not accurate.”
They added, “It was not taken in our jurisdiction and the officers shown are not Pima county deputies.” The sheriff’s department said on Saturday that several hundred law enforcement personnel remain dedicated to Nancy’s case.

“This will remain an active investigation until Nancy Guthrie is found or all leads are exhausted,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department concluded.
There was no mention of a report of a body found in updates issued by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday. The sheriff’s department has also not released additional updates in the search since Saturday. Sabino Canyon is located around 7.9 miles from Catalina Foothills, according to Google Maps.
It comes after a couple from Arizona reportedly found a bloodied glove and a rock a mile away from Nancy’s home in the desert. Cops are yet to reveal if this finding was relevant in the case.
