Good Morning America viewers were left distracted yet again by one of Sam Champion’s most talked-about on-air habits — and this time, the veteran weather anchor fired back with a cheeky response of his own.

Fans watching Friday’s edition of the ABC morning show quickly took to social media after noticing something they say Sam does almost every single day: he walks around the set clutching his coffee mug as if it is a permanent part of his wardrobe.

The latest round of comments came during a Thanksgiving cooking segment with chef Alison Roman, where Sam kept his mug in hand for nearly the entire chat. In fact, viewers noticed he only seemed to put it down when it was time to taste a bite of turkey and gravy.

For some fans, the habit has become impossible to ignore.

One viewer bluntly asked: “Why is Sam Champion always holding his cup in his hand? He looks so ridiculous.”
