LONG Island Medium star Theresa Caputo has responded to trolls who’ve criticized her signature hairstyle.
Theresa sat down with Khloe Kardashian for the latest episode of the Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, where she discussed how she handles scrutiny on social media.
The ladies bonded over their shared experiences dealing with online backlash, and others’ “misconceptions” about what happens behind the scenes.
“There’s so much misconception, I was gonna literally say the same thing about you,” Theresa, 58, told The Kardashians star.
“It’s so easy to judge, right? Or to watch someone on TV and to judge someone, and that’s something that I work on every day, is don’t judge,” the Long Island native revealed.
“My mom always says, ‘Don’t judge, because you don’t know the whole story,’ and it honestly is the God’s honest truth.”

“So, when people have a perception, and it’s just the farthest thing from that,” Theresa added.
Khloe, often targeted by trolls for her decisions, related to this and noted that people frequently judge others by appearance.
Theresa then had a message for those who’ve told her to tone down her appearance, which generally includes a sky-high, poofy platinum blonde hairdo and long, pointed fake nails.
“People always say, ‘Does that bother you?’ Of course, it hurts my feelings when someone says something not nice about you, but if it makes someone else feel better to say something negative about me, go right ahead.

“I’m not gonna stop wearing my hair this way, I’m gonna have long nails, and I’m gonna continue to talk to dead people, and that’s it. If you don’t like it, than don’t pay attention to it,” the TV personality declared.
Critics have accused the Long Island Medium star of taking her signature look too far and purposely styling her hair big for “attention.”
However, Theresa previously admitted that she wasn’t initially fond of her hair transformation, despite it now being a part of her massive fame.
During a February 2024 appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Theresa revealed that her hairdo came to be after making the “worst mistake” at the salon.
“If you’re having an emotional moment, don’t ever go to your hairdresser. That is the worst mistake you can ever make because that’s what happened to me,” the mother of two warned.
Theresa then explained that she made the impulsive decision to chop off her formerly long locks while upset over her grandmother’s passing.
“My grandmother had passed away, and I was having a really bad day, and I had just gotten a keratin, and I went back to have my hair trimmed, and I just sat in the chair and cried and cried, and I just said to her, ‘Just cut it, cut it. It’s not the right length.’’
“That’s how I ended up with my short hair,” Theresa added.
Host Amanda Hirsch then asked the TLC alum how her hairstyle evolved into the well-known poof she wears now, to which she replied, “I just wanted to let my hair grow again, and I just don’t like my hair in my face.
“Then I constantly put my hands through there, and then my nails will get stuck in my hair, and if I have food. So, I just like my hair off my face.”
