Senator John Fetterman came under fire from Fox News viewers after he was caught out ‘lying’ on air as he spoke on the fuel cost crisis and Iran.

Fox News viewers were left outraged after United States Senator John Fetterman denied there is a fuel cost crisis in the US.

Appearing on the broadcasting channel on Life, Liberty and Levin with show host Mark Levin on Saturday, April 11, Fetterman expressed his opinion as he denied that there had been a price increase. Levin asked him, “You know they’re using this gasoline, gallon of gasoline, the cost of gasoline, like this is the end-all and be-all, and I just remember these stories about World War II and how the American people sacrificed a lot to win a war.

“And I also remember the price of gasoline was pretty high under the prior administration. What do you make of that?” Fetterman then responded, “Yeah, I mean, you know, all of the kinds of media that I consume, and they are making it, it seems, that what’s unprecedented that there’s kind of like an energy crisis and that is just not true.

“I just tested that this morning. I gassed up my Jeep at Costco—I effectively paid $3.80 for a gallon. Two years ago, it was $3.65 for a gallon. And I don’t remember all the Democrats, as a Democrat, as I am, we never described an energy crisis, and things were out of control.”

Hearing his opinion, viewers flocked to X, where they commented on a clip of the exchange. One wrote, “To suggest that Americans sacrificing for Trump’s idiotic attempt to bomb Iran into submission is in any way comparable to sacrificing for FDR literally ending Nazi aggression globally is the height of idiocy. @SenFettermanPA you should be ashamed of yourself – again.”

A second said,”John the backstabber Fetterman can go F himself. Gas here in New York City in my specific neighborhood went from $3 a gallon to $4.20. Diesel is now $7.39. I pray to God that one day one Brave Pennsylvanian will primary and defeat this stupid freaking ogre and free us.”

A third commented, “Effectively paid. wtf does that mean? Did he get a discount because he’s a douchebag? I can tell you that I actually paid over $4, and if there’s no energy crisis then the whole planet is in on the act because we’re not the only ones talking about it.”

A fourth social media user shared, “Fetterman is becoming a loon. He didn’t pay that at Costco – our Costco was higher, and accounted for taxes still higher. He seems not to care anymore and just goes along with the flow, whichever side will listen to his BS. It’s now getting tiring.”

A fifth posted, “What the f— is ‘effectively paying’ when pumping gas? Bro says he went to a subscription membership store, which is already dumb enough, then does this little ‘effectively’ because Costco discounts gas for its paying members. @SenFettermanPA is a liar doing what liars do.”
