Laura Ingraham hit out at Pam Bondi as she suggested possible reasons why she was sacked as Attorney General.

The Fox News anchor hosted her show The Ingraham Angle on Thursday, April 2, just hours after Donald Trump confirmed on Truth Social Bondi would be leaving the Department of Justice for a job in the private sector.

Ingraham critcized the former Attorney General as she suggested she was fired because she “had become a political liability.” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is now stepping in to fill Bondi’s role.

Ingraham did kick things off by listing some of Bondi’s achievements, but she quickly turned to criticizing her work.

“President Trump nevertheless had grown increasingly frustrated by other headlines like this,” she said as a critical headline showed up on screen.

Ingraham continued, “Mistakes and redactions in the Epstein files, and then a supposed mistake in information turned over recently to Hill Democrats. But, perhaps, the most scathing criticism of Bondi was about her handling of the Epstein files.”

The Fox News host then played the now infamous clip of Bondi claiming in February last year that the Epstein client list was “sitting on my desk right now.”

Ingraham then added, “Now, when White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles spoke to Vanity Fair last year about Bondi, the writing seems to be on the wall. Wiles said she completely whiffed.”

Wiles sat down with Vanity Fair last year and said, “First, she gave them binders full of nothingness, and then she said the witness list or client list was on her desk. There is no client list, and it sure as well wasn’t on her desk.”

After reminding viewers of Wiles’ comments, Ingraham suggested, “In Washington parlance, the ever loyal Pam Bondi had become a political liability.”

Despite the brutal criticism, Ingraham insisted she still considers Bondi to be a close friend. She suggested Bondi had a lot of supporters, but sadly not enough to keep Trump happy.

“One day you’re up. The next day, you’re down. A lot of folks really like Pam Bondi. I consider her a friend. I think she is a patriot to this country,” Ingraham shared.

She added, “And she certainly has been extremely loyal to President Trump. But the frustrations on his part were impossible to ignore.”
