Several of Hollywood’s elite have taken to their social media platforms to voice their concern about the tensions between Minnesotans and ICE agents after Alex Pretti’s death
Many celebrities have made their thoughts about ICE and their raids very clear, especially in the wake of yet another fatal shooting in Minnesota, this time claiming the life of Alex Pretti.
A wave of Hollywood elite have taken to their social media platforms in recent days to voice their concern about the growing tensions between Minnesotans and ICE agents after two Minneapolis residents—Pretti, an ICU nurse, and motherRenée Good, both 37—were fatally shot by federal immigration agents during separate incidents.
In the wake of the developments, celebrities including Ariana Grande, Edward Norton, Billie Eilish, and Natalie Portman, who slammed ICE as the “worst in humanity” in blistering rant at Sundance, have publicly expressed their concerns, encouraged others to speak up and demand change, and even taken a moment to slam the Trump administration.
Eilish not only called out federal immigration agents in Minneapolis, but also her fellow stars who hadn’t spoken out against ICE. Meanwhile, Grande shared a link to a directory of resources in her Instagram Stories, as Jennifer Aniston shared a simple supportive message to all Minnesotans.

Singer Billie Eilish shared stats regarding federal ICE agents and crime rates in Minneapolis, Minnesota, while also calling out her fellow Hollywood stars who hadn’t spoken out against ICE. She said that “neighbors [were] being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered,” referencing the murder of Good in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Now, following Pretti’s killing at the hands of an ICE officer, Eilish took to her Instagram Story to slam those in the spotlight who have remained silent. Actress Jennifer Aniston shared a series of Instagram Stories, including a statement from Alex Pretti’s parents originally posted by Bernie Sanders. The 56-year-old Friends alum and Lola Vie founder also posted a video paying tribute to the late ICU nurse. Actor Edward Norton interrupted his interview at the Sundance Film Festival to call attention to the “illegal ICE army” that is attacking Americans. While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the 56-year-old acknowledged that it is difficult for him to talk about films while there are innocent people being killed in the U.S. In a clip circulating online, Norton asked, “These days it’s: ‘What are we gonna do about mass Gestapo shooting American citizens?'” The Incredible Hulk star added, “I’m sitting here talking about movies while an illegal army is being mounted against U.S. citizens.” -

Actress Natalie Portman also slammed ICE at the Sundance Film Festival. At the premiere of her new film, The Gallurist, the 44-year-old star said, “What’s going on in our country right now is absolutely horrific with the federal government, Trump’s government, Kristi Noem…ICE. What they’re doing is really the worst of the worst of humanity,” she said during an interview with Deadline. During an interview with Variety she added, “It’s really impossible not to talk about what is happening right now and the brutality of ICE and how it has to stop immediately. But also, there’s a beautiful community that Americans are showing right now.” -

Hacks star Megan Stalter said she’s leaving TikTok over its policies in regards to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The 35-year-old announced the news on her Instagram, saying she believed she was being censored on TikTok due to her anti-ICE views. “I’ve tried for hours to upload the same video and it wouldn’t show it to one person,’ said Stalter. “ABOLISH ICE! Delete TikTok!” She gave further context about her exit from the platform over another picture on Instagram, saying, “Hi so today I will be downloading my videos and deleting my tiktok page. Billie Eilish’s brother, Finneas, called out conservative hypocrisy regarding gun laws after the death of Alex Pretti at the hands of federal agents. In video shared to social media, the musician said, “The conservative argument that allows school shootings to continue has always basically boiled down to, ‘We have to protect the second amendment. We have to allow people to carry weapons… legally.’ […] Every argument I’ve seen for why Alex Pretti’s death was ‘justified’ yesterday is like, ‘Well he had a gun.’ Shut the f— up! You’ve spent 30 years straight telling us that children have to die so that we’re allowed to legally carry weapons everywhere in the United States.
