Good Morning America and ABC News meteorologist Ginger Zee is risking her life covering a deadly hurricane. The storm taking over Florida is causing deadly winds. It seems Zee is braving the storm to give fans an update.
Ginger Zee Gets Her Stories
Ginger Zee is an American TV personality. As the Chief meteorologist for ABC News after being the weekend meteorologist, Zee does it all. The 43-year-old and mom of two’s real name is Ginger Renée Colonomos.
Married to Ben Aaron since 2014, the reporter has many outstanding achievements. Additionally, she has 1.1 million followers on Instagram and has amassed quite a following.
Due to the high number of fans, they are always concerned about her safety, and her current reporting of Hurricane Helene is no exception. With in-depth videos, it’s clear she is bravely taking on the storm.
In The Eye Of The Storm
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Zee was reporting for Good Morning America and ABC News. As much as fans were grateful for the Chief Climate Correspondent’s reporting and news update, they were worried about her safety in the danger of the storm.
The storm has reached Category 4 and has reached the land, making it extremely dangerous, even deadly. Zee reported on the destruction from Hurricane Helene at Treasure Island at the beginning of the week. Zee even showed her fans the up-close view of the storm on her Instagram.
Moreover, the video was from 8:30 AM on Friday. Zee captioned the post, “8:30 am update Friday on #Helene – record storm surge and extensive damage along with life-threatening flash flooding more than 300 miles from landfall! @dmanzo1013 @scholjam”
Furthermore, the video highlighted the damage from the storm as boats were pushed 200 yards from a marina into homes. The waves were reaching heights of seven feet, and this was only the brink of the damage. Tampa Bay had wind gusts up to 82 mph, and Zee noted that the ocean had “incredible” strength.
Fans flooded the comments to thank Zee for her up-close videos and informative notes. Additionally, they commented that Zee takes care of herself amidst the dangers.
