The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has gripped the nation, but new developments suggest there may be a breakthrough on the horizon.

The 84-year-old mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie was last spotted on January 31, departing a family dinner en route to her Tucson, Arizona home. Since she went missing, no credible leads or suspects have emerged.

As the search stretches into its 10th week, the FBI has stepped in to assist the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in the hunt for answers, with the hope of either bringing Nancy home or providing closure to her devastated family. This follows a significant update in the Nancy Guthrie case, as a neighbor voiced their suspicions regarding someone who had fled the residence. It comes after a myste

Beyond the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, concerned members of the public have also been doing their part. Numerous online true crime enthusiasts and independent journalists have set up camp near Nancy’s home, sharing updates and reporting any new developments. The most recent update came from an investigative reporter operating under the handle @JLRINVESTIGATES on X.

In an evening post on April 5, @JLRINVESTIGATES wrote, “The FBI visited the Chevron Station on River Rd and 1st Ave on Feb 11th seeking surveillance from 9pm Jan 31st to 12pm February 1st. Employee told me. Also visited the Chevron on Rudasill and Oracle. Both have same owner. Where’s Nancy Guthrie?” In February, a Circle K representative confirmed to NBC News that law enforcement visited the retailer’s Oracle Road branch on Friday, February 6, following “receiving a tip regarding a vehicle of interest.”

The representative noted, “Our team has provided them access to the store’s surveillance video.” An employee at the Circle K verified to The Post that detectives came to the gas station, situated approximately half a mile from the residence of the 84-year-old’s daughter, Anne Guthrie, and son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni.

The location is also roughly seven miles from Nancy’s multi-million-dollar residence in Catalina Foothills, representing about a 15-minute journey. Thomas was the final individual to see Nancy, leaving her at her residence following dinner at 9.48 p.m. on January 31. Hours afterward, at 2.28 a.m., her pacemaker app disconnected from her phone, which is when authorities believe she may have been abducted.

Authorities have not revealed any concrete link between the vehicle and the probe. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office stated on February 7 that there are presently no suspects or persons of interest in the matter.

“It is standard practice to seek any video available from nearby residences or businesses that is part of the ongoing investigation,” the sheriff’s office announced in a statement. Authorities added that they will not verify or disclose further details about evidence under review. Neighbors also reported spotting a suspicious white van in the vicinity prior to Guthrie’s disappearance. “It was somewhere on that street. It was a white van, full-sized, with no printing on the sides. It was parked on the street,” neighbor Brett McIntire told California Post, though he was unable to pinpoint the exact date he witnessed the vehicle.

This development comes as the puzzling vanishing of an Air Force general has drawn striking parallels to the Nancy case.

It comes after the Guthrie search took a shock twist with cadaver dogs – and an alarming explanation is emerging.
