Hoda Kotb is leaving The Today Show at the end of this week. It proves nothing lasts forever regarding the long-time hosts of morning talk shows. This week, a special co-host showed up on the rival Good Morning America, and fans fell in love with her. In fact, some fans said she could be Robin Roberts’ future replacement.

Who Do Fans Think Should Replace Robin Roberts On GMA?
This week on Good Morning America, Robin Roberts was joined by George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan. The three hosts had taken some time off for the holidays, but all three are now back and together again. However, on Tuesday, the three hosts had a regular contributor on the show, and many fans feel she could be a great host one day.
The hosts talked about a self-driving taxi malfunctioning with a frustrated passenger inside. The taxi kept driving in circles until the taxi company (Waymo) could diagnose and fix the problem. The three GMA hosts welcomed correspondent Janai Norman for the “Play of the Day” segment to discuss this incident.
“Yes, guys, he called a Waymo and bit off Waymo than he could chew,” Janai said when starting her discussion of the story. Robin, Michael, and George all started laughing at the pun. Janai also couldn’t keep a straight face either, and laughed along with them.
“I laughed out loud, thinking of that one. That one was good, wasn’t it? Thank you,” she said. Robin applauded the pun, and they moved on with the story. While laughing at her own joke could have seemed cringe-worthy, her joyful delivery made it perfect. Strahan even stole her pun by ending the story by saying, “Waymo to that story than expected.”
Fans Want Janai To Be Robin Roberts’ Eventual Replacement On GMA
While the fans don’t want Robin Roberts to retire anytime soon, they do see something in Janai Norman that could make her a huge star in the future for Good Morning America.
