Another Network Eyeing Disgraced GMA Hosts
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were publicly married to other people when they embarked on an affair. The rumored affair came to light in late 2022 when photos of them together were published online. They both claimed to be in the middle of a divorce. However, the general public never believed their story.
The GMA hosts were fired from the morning program amid the major scandal. The couple stayed together despite the backlash. They launched a pop culture podcast with iHeartRadio in 2023. T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach also host a true crime podcast.
They have yet to return to television in the role of news anchors, but that might change soon. It is rumored that CBS is considering hiring the disgraced anchors. The network’s news division is under new management after a merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media. Bari Weiss took over as editor-in-chief after the merger and already made huge changes.
With Gayle King allegedly leaving CBS Mornings when her contract is up in May, the network could scoop up T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach to replace her.
T.J. Holmes So Cheap Amy Robach Made Big Purchase
In an unexpected twist, the former spouses of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach began dating after their respective divorces. As of late 2025, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are still together. Amy Robach moved into her former co-anchor’s New York City home in 2024.
The couple revealed in October 2025 that they were engaged. T.J. Holmes said she was wearing her ring in public even before they announced their engagement, but no one noticed.
“I was in three massive football stadiums three weekends in a row, wearing my engagement ring very proudly, very excitedly, and kept waiting for somebody to point it out or ask me, ‘Hey, what’s that?’ And it never happened,” Amy Robach said. Exactly how much the massive sparkler costs isn’t known, but Amy Robach reportedly paid for it on her own because her fiancé is too cheap.
“Amy’s net worth is around $50 million. TJ’s is about $7 million. Everyone knows she’s always had the bigger paycheck. The bigger severance. The bigger savings,” a source told Radar Online about the rumor that Amy Robach bought her own engagement ring.
A friend close to the couple added, “Amy wanted the fairytale. T.J. wanted the photo op. The ring looks like his taste and her budget.”
