The FBI has confirmed they are offering a $50,000 reward in the search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie.

Nancy, 84, has been missing since February 1. Her family called 911 after they were made aware that she had failed to show up for church that Sunday. She was last seen the evening before after being dropped off at her home at 9:48pm, and it has now been confirmed that her doorbell camera disconnected at 1:47am on the Sunday.

On February 4, Today Show host Savannah and her family shared a heartbreaking video on Instagram in which they told whoever has their mother that they are “ready to talk,” and confirmed that they are aware of potential ransom notes.

During a press conference in Pima County, Arizona, on February 5, FBI Special Agent Heith Janke confirmed they have listed the six-figure sum for information leading to “the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”

He confirmed that the FBI are now working the case jointly with the Pima County sheriff’s department.

Speaking to the press, the special agent said, “We are actively reviewing and analyzing information from all digital sources, which includes banks, social media companies and phone companies.”

When asked by a reporter about any videos or photographs that accompanied a ransom note, Special Agent Janke said, “We’re not going to go into facts regarding this part of the investigation.

“With AI these days, you can make videos that appear to be very real so we can’t just take a video and trust that is a proof of life these days because of the advancements of AI. But we’re not gonna go into anything the family may or may not have received,” he added.

Addressing the kidnapper(s) directly, he also said, “You still have the time to do the right thing before this becomes a much worse scenario for you.”

Elsewhere during the press conference, Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that they “have not identified a suspect or a person of interest,” as of yet.

“We have been working around the clock, and we just want her home and get to the bottom of all of this,” he said. “We’re at that phase now where sometimes we’re waiting, we’re waiting for analysis, we’re waiting for lab reports.”

He confirmed that blood that was found outside the home does belong to Nancy, and he also shared a detailed timeline, in which he revealed that Nancy’s doorbell camera disconnected at 1:47am on February 1, and at 2:12am something was detected on a camera at the property – which could have been a human being.
