Five people have been killed, including the suspect, after a stabbing attack in Key Peninsula, Washington Tuesday morning.

Before 8:50 a.m, a call came for a violation against a no contact order in a quiet neighborhood. When deputies were on the way to serve the suspect, witnesses found a man stabbing people outside the home deputies were planning to visit.

Multiple people called 911 to report a man stabbing people around the same time. Shots were fired at 9:33 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

Four victims are dead with the 32-year-old man who is a suspect, the sheriff’s office said.

Three victims died on the scene with the fourth dying en route to hospital.

Fire Department Key Peninsula Fire posted on Facebook that it is responding to a “major incident.”

 

“Major incident north of Lake Katherine involving multiple agencies and law enforcement. Traffic will be impacted on State Route 302 update to follow,” the Department posted.

The Pierce County Force Investigation Team will take over the investigation, XKREM2 reported.
