A 911 call was made on the night of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has been shared across social media and investigators have finally spoken about it.

The night that Nancy Guthrie disappeared, a 911 call was made in Tucson, Arizona, near Nancy’s home.
A recording of the call has made its way around the internet, and its contents make it seem like it could have been about the missing 84-year-old. In the recording, the dispatcher says, “The caller is advising they saw a female out of a vehicle window screaming.”
“Then it went northbound on Oracle,” the dispatcher continued, noting a road within miles of Nancy’s home. “The vehicle was a dark gray or blue Chevy Malibu. No plate.” This comes after a mystery man who claimed he “saw Nancy 5 days ago” offered chilling new proof.
More than a month after Nancy was reported missing, investigators in her case have addressed the call. Chris Nanos, a Pima County Sheriff, told News4 Tucson reporter Monica Garcia, “We’re aware of it.”
“We found those individuals, interviewed them,” he continued. “It was a domestic violence situation that had nothing to do with this case at all.”
The ruling out of this 911 call is the latest dead end in the search for Nancy. Recently, DNA found on a glove near Nancy’s home was found to belong to an employee who worked at a restaurant across the street. This person was quickly ruled out.
However, investigators have not lost hope and were recently spotted walking around Nancy’s neighborhood knocking on doors. Neighbors claimed that they were asked if there were any internet outages around the time that Nancy could have been taken.
One neighbor said that their cameras didn’t pick up on anything, which was reportedly unusual. It’s possible that the people who took Nancy used a WiFi jammer, which is illegal to buy and sell in the United States.

About the possibility of a WiFi jammer being used, Nanos said, “I’ve not looked at that closely, but yeah, I know that my team has looked at it with the FBI from every angle.”
Three other neighboring residents who spoke to NBC News indicated they were either sleeping or away from home during Nancy’s abduction and therefore couldn’t say if their internet was affected.
Savannah Guthrie, Nancy’s daughter, has made various pleas on her Instagram page for the return of her mother. The family is offering a $1 million reward for information.
