Former Survivor contestant Eliza Orlins has criticized CBS, claiming the network is embracing “MAGA-friendly politics.”

Orlins—a veteran of two seasons of the popular reality show – voiced her concerns before the premiere of Survivor’s milestone 50th season. In her extensive critique, she contended that CBS was neglecting its liberal viewership and had recently shifted toward a more Trump-supporting stance.

In her impassioned statement, the 43-year-old lawyer highlighted the network’s casting of pro-Trump participants on Survivor,the cancellation of late-night host Stephen Colbert’s show, CBS anchor Tony Dokoupil’s balanced coverage of the Minneapolis ICE shootings, and the removal of a 60 Minutes piece on an El Salvador megaprison, among other concerns.

In her YouTube video released on Sunday, February 22, Orlins stated in part, “CBS is not being neutral here. They are actively rehabilitating and platforming certain people…Your values are your politics. The way you treat people is your politics. Who you choose to platform is your politics.”

She further acknowledged that she would “almost certainly never be invited back,” but felt compelled to speak out on the matter. Orlins previously competed on Survivor: Vanuatu (Season 9, 2004) and Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites (Season 16, 2008).

Orlins elaborated, “When you look at who CBS is rehabilitating across its entire programming slate, from primetime entertainment to news, a picture emerges. They are choosing a side. And they are using your viewership to launder that choice. Institutions must be held accountable. When powerful entities abuse their powers, someone has to stand up and say so on the record.”

Another significant personal matter Orlins discussed was an online dispute with reality television personality Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick. The conflict erupted following Orlins’ publication of an investigative piece titled “The Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick Files: MAGA, Misinformation, and Deleted Receipts,” where she accused her of being a MAGA supporter.

Orlins alleged that after her exposé dropped, Kendrick referred to her as a “f—–g Jew” in a social media video and “repeated antisemitic tropes about Jewish control of wealth.”

She further noted that despite engaging in this offensive conduct online, Stephenie received an invitation to appear on Survivor’s forthcoming season, even though producers had “25 years of contestants to choose from.”

Following the release of her video, Orlins received an overwhelming wave of backing from supporters, alongside numerous viewers who voiced their dissatisfaction with CBS Network. Beneath the video, one fan wrote, “We need more people like you vs CBS. Thank you for this.”

Another commenter stated, “CBS is nothing more than the ‘See BS’ network now. It’s painfully obvious they’ve made their choice in favor of fascism, nationalism, and racism. I’m just one person, but it will not be tolerated on my screens at least. Happy that you’ve spoken up, and I support you.”

A third person remarked, “Stephanie is so gross. Loved her story in her first season, but she’s shown her true colors over the years. Good job Eliza.”
