Megyn Kelly says a 2013 Today show segment showing Savannah Guthrie’s mother inside her bedroom could have provided a roadmap for whoever abducted her from her Tucson, Arizona home.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing for more than a month after she disappeared from her Catalina Foothills residence on January 31.

The Pima County Police Department launched its search on February 1 and has yet to name any.

Kelly published a YouTube video on March 11 showcasing the old Today clip, which featured Nancy and detailed how her abductor might have used it to plan the initial crime.

“So what’s interesting about that clip is you can see where she slept every night,” Kelly said in the video.

“And you can see exactly what this abductor must have walked into. I mean, does anybody’s mother dramatically overhaul their bedroom when they’re in their 80s, 70s? I mean, that was, what, 13 years ago?”

Kelly noted that Nancy’s bedroom setup likely remained unchanged over the years.

“The point is simply you can see right into her bedroom and, generally, the way it was and the way it was set up. And she lives in the same house,” she said.

The former Megyn Kelly Today host connected the old footage to an alleged ransom note received early in the case.

According to Kelly, an early ransom note claimed the abductor knew details about where Nancy kept her Apple Watch and other specifics about her bedroom.

“We had an alleged kidnapper note early on in the Nancy Guthrie scandal, claiming they knew exactly where she kept her Apple Watch,” Kelly explained.

“And they had described something inside Nancy’s bedroom…Did those people behind that note see this segment?”

Kelly suggested that someone could draft a convincing ransom note using only the information visible in the 2013 footage.

“I could describe the inside of that room to a T,” she said.

“And if you didn’t know that the Today show had aired that footage in 2013, you would be very convinced that I had been inside Nancy Guthrie’s bedroom…I wonder whether the authorities are even aware that this was broadcast publicly.”

Kelly came up with two potential ways the bedroom footage could have been used to a kidnappers advantage.

“To actually go into the bedroom and show off the most intimate area of her mom’s life may have given somebody some sort of way of manipulating either the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department by being able to say you knew what it looked like,” she said.

“Or, potentially giving you a road map for what you would encounter once you go into that bedroom, if you were a bad guy willing to do some homework.”
