A chilling link has been uncovered between the Nancy Guthrie case and the Idaho Murders.
NewsNation reporter Brian Entin revealed the connection on the latest installment of his YouTube show, Brian Entin Investigates, aired on March 7. During Saturday’s episode, Brian explored a key similarity between the Idaho Murders and the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. This comes after a mystery man claimed he “saw Nancy 5 days ago.”
Nancy Guthrie vanished exactly five weeks ago, having been kidnapped from her home under the cover of darkness. Since February 1, no suspects have been identified, no arrests have been made, and she remains missing. It comes asthe toxic truth about Savannah Guthrie’s Today Show return has been revealed.
The Idaho Murders occurred in November 2022, when Bryan Kohberger brutally killed four University of Idaho students whilst they were asleep in their residence.
Kohberger confessed to four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary as part of a plea agreement to evade the death penalty. In 2025, he received four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 10 years for burglary.

He was also mandated to pay $270,000 in fines and restitution. The motive behind the murders is still a mystery.
In Brian’s recent episode, coinciding with the five-week mark of Nancy’s investigation, the journalist drew parallels between the two cases, linking them for one specific reason.
He noted that in both instances, amateur TikTok detectives have flooded social media with accusations targeting innocent individuals, with a family acquaintance of Nancy becoming the most recent target of such speculation.
Dominic Evans, a friend of Nancy’s son-in-law, found himself wrongly identified as the masked individual captured in doorbell video from Nancy’s residence. Dominic shares a longstanding friendship with Tommaso Cioni, Nancy’s son-in-law, and the two perform in a band together.
Online users insisted Dominic fit the description of the suspect’s “athletic build,” facial hair (moustache and goatee), and even pointed to a particular wrist tattoo visible in the footage. Yet Brian clarified that law enforcement had produced no evidence suggesting Dominic was under investigation.

“There was never any evidence behind the scenes that they were going to raid Dominic’s house, or that he’s ever been connected to the crime,” Brian stated on his YouTube program. “So it’s just one example of this happening, where a couple of people online with big followings decide to call somebody out, even when there’s no evidence of it, and it spirals out of control.”
The connection to the Idaho Murders? An identical scenario unfolded in that case, where TikTok investigators wrongly implicated innocent parties.
“And the example with Idaho… There was this professor, who this TikTok psychic from very early on, was posting relentlessly, saying that she was responsible for the murders, even though there was literally no evidence. It was the craziest theory ever,” Brian explained to his audience.
The professor referenced is Rebecca Scofield, who pursued legal action against TikToker Ashly Guillard after the social media personality “would not give up” even following Bryan Kohberger’s arrest.

Ashly purportedly concluded Rebecca was the killer based on her tarot card readings and claimed psychic powers. The TikToker fabricated a narrative suggesting Rebecca had been romantically involved with one of the victims.
She further alleged the non-existent relationship had soured, driving Rebecca to commit the murders. These assertions were entirely false and deeply defamatory.
Notably, Rebecca pursued Ashly through the legal system. As Brian explained, “This professor fought back, and ended up taking this TikToker all the way to federal court where there was a trial that just ended last week, where a jury ended up rewarding the professor a $10 million judgement that the TikToker now has to pay.”
