A BELOVED pair from The Traitors has been tapped to potentially take over Kelly Clarkson’s talk show slot, with execs believing their “electric chemistry” would make them the perfect fit.

After winning the hearts of viewers with their incredibly close bond as faithfuls on Season 4 of the reality series, Olympic figure skaters, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, may be joining Peacock‘s parent network, NBC‘s daytime circuit.

According to Naughty But Nice with Rob Shuter, the BFFs are being considered to succeed Kelly‘s daytime spot when she departs The Kelly Clarkson Show this fall.

“This isn’t some casual brainstorm,” a network insider told the outlet about the possibility of Tara, 43, and Johnny, 41, coming on board.

“There are actual development conversations happening. They’re looking at formats. They’re running numbers.”

Execs particularly value the duo’s sharpness on camera while maintaining humor and likability with their audience, which they demonstrated during their 2026 Winter Olympics coverage.

“They’re live-TV pros,” a second source said.

“They’re quick on their feet, visually dynamic, and audiences genuinely like them. That’s gold in daytime.”

Their standout performances on the latest season of The Traitors, having both made it to the February 26 finale before losing to Love Island USA star Rob Rausch, also appeared to get them on NBC’s radar.

“They check every box,” a senior insider told Naughty But Nice.

“Polished, experienced, and they understand spectacle. NBC isn’t experimenting — they’re positioning.”

Tara and Johnny have yet to sign any contracts, but they seem to be top contenders.

“But make no mistake. This is serious,” the insider added.

Putting the Olympians into the slot would drastically shake up the talk show’s format, a change the network previously tried to avoid by bringing in singer Pink.

Kelly, 43, is known for her “Kellyoke” segments, in which the powerhouse singer performs her own renditions of popular hits for her in-studio audience.

Pink, 46, who filled in for Kelly on the show last week as a “test-run” for if she permanently takes over, carried on Kelly’s tradition and sang with her daughter, Willow, 16, during Monday’s show.

Sources exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Pink – real name Alecia Beth Moore – was top of mind for execs because of her stunning vocals, and she would make for a “seamless transition” behind the scenes when Kelly leaves.

“She would use the same crew and studio than Kelly did. The goal is for the hardworking team that makes Kelly’s show to not be without a job during this process,” the insider said.

Early last month, Kelly announced that her talk show will end after its seventh season, with new episodes scheduled to air through the Fall of 2026.

The Voice coach revealed she was stepping away to prioritize her children, River Rose, 11, and Remington Alexander, 9, who moved with her to New York City for the show in 2023.

Kelly is her kids’ only living parent after their dad, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s tragic death from cancer in August.
