However, some fans felt she should take it off so they could understand her better and made it known when she posted the footage of her covering the fires. As expected, Ginger wasn’t having any of these ridiculous complaints.

Critics Blast Ginger Zee For Health Choices

Good Morning America star Ginger Zee was one of the cases on the ground reporting on the Los Angeles wildfires. She was covering the fires for ABC News, and she was making sure to keep herself safe while she was working the tragedy. This included wearing the protective N-95 mask for protection.

The fires were destroying people’s homes. At least 20 people have been reported dead from the fires as well. On top of that, the smoke from the fires are causing a lot of health problems for people in the area. Wearing the N-95 mask helps protect Ginger’s lungs and allows her to continue to report on the fires safely.

However, some fans don’t seem to understand the importance of Ginger protecting herself. One person responded to the video clip of Ginger reporting on the fires with a demand that she take her mask off. “Plz ask @Ginger_Zee to remove mask for the 2 minutes on air! We already know she’s in great danger,” a person posted.

Whether the person didn’t care about Ginger’s safety and health or was just too uneducated about the need to wear the masks remains unknown. However, the best part of the story is that Ginger doesn’t take the criticism lying down and responds to the dangerous request.

Ginger Zee Lashes Back At Critic About Masks

Ginger Zee saw the comment, and she decided not to hold back. “I was out for 5 hours straight doing more than what you see— I will not take my mask off and risk my lungs, thanks!” Ginger explained, choosing to be kind despite the ridiculous original comment.

However, the person responded to Ginger and said they see plenty of unmasked reporters, and one of Ginger’s own co-workers was supposedly also working maskless. They then said they don’t “expect anyone to ‘risk their lungs,’” despite that being what they originally requested.

Ginger then said she was out there for “45 minutes of non stop promos and two hours of show and more promos after” that. She once again said that she wouldn’t risk the “exposure.”

On Thursday, Ginger didn’t have a mask on anymore. She explained in the broadcast that the air quality had “improved significantly,” which is why she took it off.
