Michael Strahan Gets Bumped Down In New Role

For a decade, Michael Strahan has been a prominent fixture on GMA. He sits beside Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. Michael is a fan favorite, as part of the morning trio, and when one goes missing, viewers clamor for answers. He also shared his daughter, Isabella Strahan’s, cancer battle that captivated America. They were desperate to see her fight and get back to her best self. Moreover, it was terrifying, but she was insanely brave throughout it all. Aside from GMA and being a father, Michael also hosts the $100,000 Pyramid and is a sportscaster.

He played professional football for fifteen years and was on the New York Giants. So, sports have long been a passion of his. Now, it seems his extremely busy schedule will have him in a lesser GMA role. Max Tani has stated that Michael is set to sign a contract for the hit morning talk show. However, it is supposedly going to be short-term and involve reduced work. Furthermore, it seems his contract is still up in the air as of now, as they likely sort through the terms. It was previously reported that Michael would exit GMA at the end of his contract in 2025.

At this point, it does not appear that is happening, and rather, Michael Strahan will stay on in a different capacity. Aside from all of his television obligations, Michael also has a new business endeavor he has been looking into. He may buy some of the Giants, and shared how interested he was in doing so:

“Would I be a good limited partner? I’d be an excellent limited partner. I’m not in there trying to run your draft and tell you what to do and all these things. I’d be there in whatever capacity you needed me to be.”
