Soap Icon Susan Lucci Shows Up On Good Morning America
Good Morning America regularly welcomes famous guests to the show to talk about whatever the who’s who in Hollywood and the entertainment industry has going on. Often, celebs come on to talk about a new book they are releasing, or to promote their latest project.
Soap star Susan Lucci was a recent guest on the popular morning talk show. The All My Children star was recently on the GMA set, and she brought the drama with her, just as she did to the character of Erica Kane on the popular soap for decades.
Susan Lucci Gets Into It With Michael Strahan On-Air
When you have a guest like Susan Lucci on hand on Good Morning America, who made a career out of bringing the flair and the drama, it’s never a bad thing to try and pick up some tricks of the trade from a legend. Unfortunately for Michael Strahan, Lucci showed him how to dramatically throw water in someone’s face, and Strahan was the unfortunate recipient of this, fancy suit and all.
Michael Strahan said: “Last time you were here, you put those chops to the test. You taught me the good old fake TV slap. So how do you take a good soap opera fight to the next level?”
Lucci responded with: “I think we have more in us. Should we go for it?”
Susan Lucci then tossed the contents of a glass of water in Strahan’s direction. While Michael Strahan admitted that his “anxiety” went up, he was also game for more. Much like the drama in soap operas, Lucci upped the ante, as producers gave her a full jug of water.
Lucci then demanded that Strahan get on his knees on Good Morning America, before proceeding to pour the entire jug on him, dousing him with water in true dramatic fashion. A soaked Strahan then said: “I know some guys who are in big trouble when this show is over.”
