The search for Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother continues, with newly released police dispatch audio revealing her serious health conditions.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home over the weekend. She was last seen on Saturday night and was reported missing the following day when she didn’t show up for church.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated in a press conference earlier this week that the case is urgent as Nancy could die without her medication, which was left at her residence. This comes after an expert revealed a chilling truth that the kidnapper is “known to the family.”
Now, audio from a police dispatch has been made public, indicating that Nancy suffers from high blood pressure, has a pacemaker, and cardiac issues.
In the audio, first obtained by Fox News, a police dispatcher can be heard saying, “Nancy, a white female, 84 years of age, medium build, brown over blue…Nancy has high blood pressure, a pacemaker, and cardiac issues.”

The investigation has transitioned from a rescue mission to a criminal probe.
On Wednesday, NBC Today Show host Savannah and her family issued a public message to Nancy’s abductor, stating they are ready to negotiate but need proof that Nancy is alive. In a video posted on social media, the journalist mentioned that her family has heard media reports about a ransom letter for her mom, who authorities believe was forcibly taken from her Arizona home.
“We are ready to talk. However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated,” Savannah declared, reading from a prepared statement. “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please reach out to us.”
Throughout the recording, Savannah’s emotions were palpable, her voice wavering at times. She offered a smile and direct gaze into the camera when speaking to her mother, assuring her of the family’s prayers and ongoing search efforts.
“Mommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman. You are God’s precious daughter,” she expressed.

The television personality painted a vivid picture of her mother as a “kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light”, adding that she was humorous, spirited, and intelligent. “Talk to her and you’ll see,” she urged.
Savannah was joined by her sister, Annie, and brother, Camron, who also shared their thoughts.
Annie described their mother as their guiding light, emphasizing their need for her. “Mamma, if you’re listening, we need you to come home. We miss you,” she pleaded.
Nancy was last seen around 9.45 p.m. on Saturday, when she was dropped off at home by family after dining with them, according to the sheriff’s department. Her absence was reported midday Sunday when she failed to attend Mass.
The family shared their statement following an extensive police search of Nancy’s residence that lasted several hours on Wednesday.
Kevin Adger, speaking on behalf of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, explained that investigators had been at the property earlier in the week for two days before releasing it back to the family, with the caveat that they might need to return.
“This is a follow-up investigation,” he stated regarding officials’ return on Wednesday.
Adger indicated that the sheriff’s department would not comment on the video the family made public. Several news outlets reported on Tuesday that they had received what appeared to be ransom demands, which they subsequently provided to law enforcement.
While the sheriff’s department confirmed it was treating the communications and additional leads with due seriousness, officials refused to elaborate further.
