Savannah Guthrie has shared a heartfelt update on Instagram about her mother, Nancy, and her disappearance.

The Today Show anchor addressed her followers on the social media site on February 9, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support since news broke on February 1 that her mother had gone missing.

Opening her message to 1.6 million followers, Savannah, 54, said, “Hi there, everybody. I wanted to come on and just share a few thoughts as we enter into another week of this nightmare.

“I just want to say first of all, thank you so much for all of the prayers and the love that we have felt, my sister, my brother, and I. And that our mom has felt because we believe that somehow, someway she is feeling these prayers and that God is lifting her even in this darkest place.”

The broadcaster went on, “We believe our mom is still out there. We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly trying to bring her home, trying to find her.”

“She was taken and we don’t know where, and we need your help. So, I’m coming on just to ask you, for not just your prayers, no matter where you are, even if you’re far from Tucson, if you see anything, hear anything, if there’s anything at all that seems strange to you that you report to law enforcement.”

Wrapping up her emotional appeal, the mother-of-two stated, “We are at an hour of desperation and we need your help.”

Her statement came during the ninth day of her mother’s disappearance, which has been described as a likely abduction by authorities, who have also made the troubling admission that they still have no suspects despite continually investigating.

It also comes on the same day that an alleged second deadline was set in a widely reported ransom note, which demanded $6 million in Bitcoin. A first deadline was set for Thursday, February 5, while the second deadline was for 5:00 p.m. on the 9th, reports the Mirror US.

In another video plea over the weekend, which also featured her siblings, Camron and Annie, the Today Show host appeared to address the potential ransom and indicated she and her family were willing to pay it in order to facilitate their mother’s safe return.

“We received your message, and we understand,” she said in the video, which was also posted to her Instagram account.

“We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace,” she continued.

“This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”
