GOOD Morning America’s Lara Spencer has returned to work after the tragic loss of her mother.
She’s been open in the past about her mom’s difficult battle with cancer, and shared an emotional Instagram post last week after she passed away.
Taking to her social media channel yet again, Lara expressed immense gratitude towards the GMA team who have been incredibly supportive of her while she navigates her “fog of grief”.
She shared a sweet carousel of snaps of her and the staff enjoying the sunny weather and hugging a stuffed monkey.
The team also posed with some hot drinks and floaties by the pool.
In the caption Lara penned: “Finally coming out of the fog of grief and so grateful to my GMA family-making me feel warm and loved-even in 42 degrees temps in Florida.

“No one I would rather be stranded with than this guy. We huddled around the heat lamp, collaborated on making the show as fun and energetic as possible, and even took a page from Punch the monkey’s book-giving our [monkey] stuffie a squeeze when needed.
“The pictures tell the story. Thank you GMA family. I love you.”
Lara’s post was flooded with love from fans and friends in the comment’s.

On February 16 Lara shared the devastating news that her mother had passed away.
She posted a series of sweet family photos as well as pictures of just her and her mother.
The caption read: “If you were lucky enough to meet my mom you know that smile that lit up every room she walked into.
“What you might not have seen at first glance was her courage, resilience, endless optimism, deep faith, and boundless love for her family.
“She was a woman who loved a saying—she had one for everything-and used them often to help us get thru life’s challenges or painful moments.
“One of her favorite was “don’t be sad it’s over honey—be grateful it happened”.
“Sorry mama but there’s no way to not feel the pain of overwhelming sadness at the thought of not having you to share life with each day, but we sure are grateful YOU happened and showered us with your loving warmth and humor.
“Our loving mom, grandmother to 12 and great-grandmother to 4 left us on Friday the 13TH (which we know she would have gotten a kick out of) surrounded by her children and her beloved rescue dog to reunite with my Dad and our sister Pamela.
