Brian Kilmeade’s recent social media activity went south very quickly.

On Friday, the Fox & Friends host, 61, went live on X to share what his dog Bear got for Christmas. He started, “Lots. I don’t think he fully realized what he got. Now, I think he’s annoying Willow a little bit less which is interesting.”

He went on to briefly discuss other topics like college sports and the bruising on President Donald Trump’s hands, which he defended, “He takes aspirin. Maybe too much and if you hit your hand when you get older, you barely touch things, you bruise easily.”

As he continued, many filled the comments section to call the host out on his hindrance of one topic they believe he should be shedding light on.

One said, “Still out looking for homeless people to kill? Disgusting that you still have a job, but Fox “News” has zero morals.”

Another questioned, “Brian, is your new year’s resolution to kill more homeless people?”

During a September segment of Fox & Friends, the host got himself into trouble during a discussion about the killing of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian woman who was fatally stabbed on a train in North Carolina.

After finding out that the murderer was reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia and had 14 prior criminal arrests, Brian had said unhoused people with mental illness should either accept publicly funded programs or “locked up.”

He added, “Or involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill ‘em.”

The host received immense backlash for his comments. A few viewers had even put together a Change petition that is titled, “Fire Brian Kilmeade for his harmful comments about homeless people.” The petition now has 13,812 verified signatures.

After seeing viewers’ responses, Kilmeade issued an apology for his remarks.

He said, “Now, during that discussion, I wrongly said that should get lethal injections. I apologize for that extremely callous remark. I am obviously aware that not all mentally ill, homeless people act as the perpetrator did in North Carolina and that so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion.”

Kilmeade has been part of the Fox News team since 1997. He began as a sports anchor, but after a year he shifted toward political coverage, joining Fox & Friends as a co-host.

The host now appears every weekday on the segment alongside Ainsley Earhardt & Lawrence Jones.

He also hosts his own segment titled One Nation with Brian Kilmeade, as well as The Brian Kilmeade Show, a syndicated three-hour radio program on Fox News Audio.

Over the last 28 years, he has conducted interviews with several public figures like Mark Cuban, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and President Donald Trump.
