Megyn Kelly launched into a scathing attack against American soccer star Megan Rapinoe after she spoke out against Donald Trump’s phone call with Team USA after the men’s hockey team took gold at the Winter Olympics.

The 55-year-old former Fox News anchor made the controversial comments on her SiriusXM radio show, The Megyn Kelly Show, on Saturday, February 28.

The 40-year-old Olympic Gold Medalist slammed the men for laughing when the president made a distasteful joke about the women’s hockey team, who also won gold in Italy, calling them ‘clowns’ for their behavior and for allowing Trump to steal the spotlight from their historic win against Canada.

“The nerve of this woman to call these guys clowns. She is jealous. She is full of hatred for anyone who is a white male,” Megyn seethed, before taking a jab at Megan’s sexuality. The soccer star, who identifies as a lesbian, is married to ex-WNBA star Sue Bird.

“She is like a rabid, angry lesbian,” the right-wing pundit said.

Megyn’s scathing attack comes after the professional athlete criticized the men’s hockey team during an episode on her podcast, A Touch More, which she co-hosts with her wife.

“In what I like to call a classic ‘ripping defeat from the jaws of victory,’ the United States men’s hockey team, in their utter moment of glory, childhood dreams come true, sensational, ruined it for themselves,” Megan said, adding, “They allowed themselves to be co-opted by a clown. And now you’re a clown. You look like a clown.”

She continued, “They get on the phone with Trump and Trump makes the comment about the women’s team,” referring to Trump’s off-color remark that he would be forced to also invite the women’s hockey team to the White House or he “probably would be impeached.”

The two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner went on to say, “You just accomplished this amazing thing. You just gave this whole moment over to this person who you know is only going to use it for him.”

Her comments elicited the below-the-belt takedown from the conservative television personality, who compared Trump’s call with Team USA to a 2015 World Cup team speaking with then-President Barack Obama over the phone after their win.

“President Obama called the women’s team after they won the World Cup in 2015,” Megyn argued, “It’s only controversial when it is President Trump, you see.”

The controversial talk show host told listeners, “She is just jealous that they are in the spotlight and she is not. In fact, she is loathed by more than half of the country, unlike these guys who are beloved and she can’t see straight She wants to take it away from them, and she feels powerless to do it, because she is.”

Megyn wrapped up her fuming outburst by saying, “Enjoy your bitter, bitter life.”
