While fans were thrilled about the celebrity lineup, some were concerned about missing Sheinelle.

One viewer questioned, “Are both Jenna and Sheinelle going to be missing?”

Others shared heart, fire, and praise hands emojis in the comments.

Sheinelle’s absence from the show comes days after Peter Alexander confirmed his exit from NBC.

He has been a staple on the network for 22 years.

“I’ve been away from my home more than 80 nights in the last seven months, more than 220 Friday nights away from my family in the last seven years,” he said during a Saturday broadcast.

“I’m eager to carve out a better balance between my personal and professional lives, and to challenge myself with something new.”

Peter travels from his Washington, D.C. home to New York City every week for Saturday’s taping.

He first joined the weekend broadcast in 2018, and became the co-chief White House correspondent at NBC three years later.

“It’s hard to believe, but I have been part of the NBC family for longer than I’ve had my own family,’ he said.

“Being right here, with this team and with all the folks you don’t see on TV, this is literally my happy place.”

He has daughters aged 12 and 10.

Amid his exit, rumors have swirled that in addition to his desire to spend more time with family he had grown frustrated with being passed over for bigger gigs.
