Kelly Ripa is known for sharing a lot about her life, whether on her talk show or even on social media. Recently, while speaking with a guest, she opened up about a procedure she underwent. This led to a discussion on what people do to maintain their appearances.
Kelly Ripa Made Her Share On Her Podcast Series, ‘Let’s Talk Off Camera’
Ripa has had a longstanding career, both as an actress and as a television personality. For many, her breakout role was the soap opera, All My Children, in which she met her real-life husband and on-screen love interest, Mark Consuelos.
However, Ripa is arguably best known for hosting her New York-based talk show, Live!, first joining in 2021. Hosting alongside a number of famous figures, including Regis Philbin, Michael Strahan, and Ryan Seacrest, she would be joined by her spouse, Consuelos, in 2023.
During a recent episode of her podcast, “Let’s Talk Off Camera,” Ripa opened up about getting microneedling “on my a– cheeks.” She shared that she was inspired to share this by her guest, Lukas Gage, who also revealed he had undergone the treatment.
Gage then asked Ripa if she saw any improvement. She replied, “I’m going to tell you something … just as old as before.” The talk show host then added, “Desperate times call for desperate measures.”
Ripa Might Not Have Thought Too Highly Of The Procedure After The Fact, But Her Guest Reassured Her
The two continued to discuss the various ways people try to improve their appearances. Gage himself noted, when it comes to microneedling, “That’s the one the only one that I’m like, I get it. It’s I think it’s good. I think it’s like just getting a facial. That’s… that one’s okay.”
Ripa, however, shared, “I think that if you’re trying to do it for your rear end,” before Gage interjected with, “Doesn’t work.” She continued, “It doesn’t… doesn’t work on mine, that’s for sure.” However, Gage reassured her, saying, “Well, you look whatever you’re doing, you look amazing.”
Gage is an actor known for his work on shows including American Vandal, Euphoria, The White Lotus, You, and Fargo. He also appeared in the films Smile 2 and Companion.
Over the years, Ripa has been open about what she’s undertaken to maintain her appearance. During a February episode of Live! with Kelly and Mark, Ripa revealed that her sleeping position caused her pain. When executive producer Michael Gelman offered a solution, she joked, “I don’t know how much more I can subject Mark to,” before showing off her nighttime products.
At the time, as shared by Fox News, Ripa explained, “Typically, I put on this jelly mask that I sleep in. I sleep in it, and it melts into your skin. And in the morning, I peel it off, and it’s like a miracle. I look just like this.”
