According to AdWeekGood Morning America recently averaged 2.964 million total viewers for the week starting March 16. Out of these viewers, 500,000 were in the desired age 25-54 demographic.

This means the show was up 4% in total viewers. It was also 11% in the key demo compared to the previous week. It was also up from the same week in 2025 with an 11% and 8% increase in the total viewers and key demo, respectively.

One Network Appeared To Dominate Mornings, While Another Had The Top Evening Program

Despite the increase, Today still remained in the top spot during the week, averaging 2.989 million total viewers and 655,000 demo viewers.

For its part, Today was up 2% in total viewers and 3% for the demo compared to the previous week. Compared to last year, it was up 15% in total viewers, with 2% in the key demo.

For comparison’s sake, Good Morning America was just 25,000 total viewers away from reaching its NBC competitor. CBS Mornings trailed behind both shows. It was notably the only one of the three shows in declines in either total viewers or the key demo.

As the outlet noted, the CBS morning show averaged 1.713 million total viewers during the same week. Of these viewers, only 264,000 demo viewers were in the key demo. The show was actually up 1% in total viewers. However, despite this, it lost around 3% in the key demo. Compared to last year, the show also saw a 5% drop in total viewers and a 32% drop in the demo. This also comes out as viewers have seen a notable shakeup at CBS News following the installation of Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief.

As previously reported, earlier this year, reports also claimed that CBS was also trailing behind ABC and NBC in regard to the network’s evening programs. However, at the time, ABC was said to have the top spot, with NBC coming in second.
