Jenna Bush Hager Stunned After Co-Host Outs Secret
Jenna Bush Hager has been keeping a secret about her career for months. It was exposed in just a few seconds when Craig Melvin accidentally spilled the beans. The Former First Daughter joined the Today Show in 2019 as a contributor. She eventually moved up the ranks, replacing Kathie Lee Gifford on the show’s fourth hour. Jenna Bush Hager also appears on the third hour of the NBC news program.
On Wednesday, she was waiting for Craig Melvin and the other hosts to finish their discussion so she could give audiences their “Morning Boost” on her popular segment. The other hosts were discussing the upcoming Devil Wears Prada sequel. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and more return to continue the story from the cult classic.
Craig Melvin joked that he doesn’t even have to see the movie because he already knows it’s good. Why? Because “JBH” is in it. He was, of course, referring to Jenna Bush Hager. It seems she filmed a cameo for the movie, but it was top secret.
Jenna Bush Hager’s mouth dropped in shock when he outed her secret. Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker took turns teasing Craig Melvin for his massive mistake. He said in his defense that he thought it was common knowledge. It was a light moment amid Savannah Guthrie’s return following her mother’s disappearance in late January.
Not Her First Acting Role
While Craig Melvin outed Jenna Bush Hager’s secret, he didn’t share the context of her cameo in Devil Wears Prada 2. Fans shouldn’t expect her to leave the morning news program for an acting career. She did make a cameo in another movie recently, as she was briefly in Hallmark’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. The 2024 Christmas movie starred Donna Kelce, the mom of the Kansas City Chiefs star player, Travis Kelce, aka the future Mr. Taylor Swift.
Like many talk show hosts, Jenna Bush Hager has other ventures. She has released several books and even has her own book imprint. Craig Melvin didn’t mean any harm by revealing her secret live on the air. He joked that the show could remove his blunder from future broadcasts. They may have done just that.
