ICE agents with rooms booked at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown St. Paul were reportedly notified their reservations were canceled as the hotel announced a temporary closure, citing “heightened public safety concerns in St. Paul.”
A photo of a letter with the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Paul insignia was posted by members of the media on X on Sunday morning, with some stating that ICE agents with rooms booked at the hotel received the memo.
The letter stated that the hotel would be temporarily closed, with reservations canceled by noon on Sunday, January 18. It comes as Trump faces fresh humiliation after taking Nobel Peace Prize – and it’s not good for his ego.

“We are taking this step out of care for you, our team members, and the surrounding community,” the statement said.
The Mirror US attempted to contact the Double Tree by Hilton location but were hung up on.
The statement also addresses that the departure is “unexpected” and offers assistance with “alternate accommodations if needed.”
“To support you during this difficult transition, and as a gesture of goodwill, we can either refund your last night’s stay, or pay your first night’s stay at your new hotel at the same rate as your canceled reservation with us,” the statement continued.
This comes a few weeks after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) accused Hilton Hotels of refusing rooms to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Minneapolis, describing it as a coordinated campaign” against DHS law enforcement in the city.
In a post on X, DHS shared screenshot that it claimed were from Hilton Hotels in which staff refused to book rooms for ICE agents.
“When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails and rates, Hilton Hotels maliciously CANCELLED their reservations. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement from their mission to enforce our nation’s immigration laws?” DHS wrote on its official X account.
Emails allegedly showed Hilton employees explaining that they had searched who was to stay in their hotel rooms and having found that they are federal agents linked to immigration operations, cancelled the bookings.
“We are not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property,” one email read, in part.

“Hilton is a rational business like any other, and it should be free to provide service or not to anyone it pleases. DHS is free to book elsewhere. Glad there is freedom somewhere in this great nation of ours,” David Bier, director of immigration studies at the Cato Institute, said on X.
