Today Show host Dylan Dreyer had a huge announcement for her fans this week. It appears that she has gotten a job outside Today, and she seems very excited to get started on the new project. However, many fans wonder if this means she is leaving the morning talk show thanks to the new opportunity.

Dylan Dreyer Announces New Gig Outside Of Today
Dylan Dreyer shared her news with fans via her Instagram account. The Today host has a new gig coming up that she is really excited about. She posted a video of her explaining what was coming in the post. She then revealed more about what she was doing in the caption.
“Mark your calendars! #EarthOdyssey with @dylandreyernbc returns on August 5th with brand new episodes,” she wrote in the caption. “Dive into the wonders of the natural world with us and get ready to be amazed by its wildlife!”
It sounds like Dylan was out this summer filming episodes for Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer. It airs on NBC. This also isn’t a new job, realistically, as Dylan has been doing this half-hour nature television series for six seasons now. This will be the show’s seventh season, and it premiered on July 5.

Is Dylan Dreyer Leaving Today?
As for the people wondering if Dylan Dreyer is leaving Today, there is nothing to worry about. As mentioned, this is the seventh season of Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer on NBC, and she has always comfortably filmed the episodes around her time on the morning talk show.
This is great news for the talk show, as well. Hoda Kotb announced she was leaving Today last week, and the world has been buzzing about that departure. While there have been people leaving the show for decades, this time it seems a little more shocking than normal.
Hoda will remain on Today until the new year, but then the network will have to find a way to move on without her. When Hoda joined as a main host, she worked with Kathie Lee Gifford. She has worked with Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Hager Bush over the last few years. The network has not decided yet who will replace Hoda.
