For the past 13 years, Travis Kelce has been one of the most prominent figures in professional football. The three-time Super Bowl champion has established himself as one of the greatest to ever lace them up.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and his career won’t be the exception to that rule. He’s reportedly mulling retirement, and that decision will obviously have a big effect on him.

That’s why pop superstar Taylor Swift, his fiancée, is reportedly worried about his well-being. According to a report, she doesn’t know how he might cope with life post-football:

“She thinks he has a huge world waiting for him outside football, but also worries how he’ll fare emotionally when he does hang up his cleats,” a source close to Swift told Star Magazine. “It’s been the cornerstone of his life for so long now.”

Swift is reportedly supportive of his decision, regardless of what he chooses to do.

Travis Kelce Is Still Undecided About His Future

While Kelce recently dropped a massive hint about his plans for the future, he’s reportedly still on the fence about whether to come back or not.

In a recent edition of his “New Heights” podcast, he had a heart-to-heart talk with his older brother Jason, who already went through this process. There, Travis talked about his need to just lay back and be a regular person for a while before making a decision:

“Every season ends for me, I just put my feet up, and I just be a human,” Kelce said. “Just being a regular human for a couple weeks, maybe a month or so, just trying to figure out what I’m going to do next in terms of my future in football.”

Notably, he didn’t rule out coming back for another year. If his body is up to it, this might not be the end of the line for him:

“It’s a tough thing to navigate, but at the same time, if my body can heal up and rest up, and I can feel confident that I can go out there and give it another 18, 20, 21-week run, I think I would do it in a heartbeat,” he added.

Kelce’s future will have a major impact on the Kansas City Chiefs’ offseason plans. As such, it shouldn’t be long before he makes an announcement about his decision.
