Today Show star Savannah Guthrie shared a gut-wrenching statement amid the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. The news anchor shared she is determined to bring her mother home safely.

On Wednesday, February 4, the 54-year-old television personality took to her Instagram account to release a heartbreaking video of her and her siblings begging for their mother’s safe return. Nancy, 84, was reported missing on Sunday, February 1, and since then, authorities have been thoroughly investigating her disappearance, with the latest discovery, which was blood being found inside and outside of Nancy’s home, being made on Tuesday, February 3.

“We, too, have heard reports about a ransom letter in the media. As a family, we are doing everything that we can. We are ready to talk,” Savannah said at the beginning of the video she shared Wednesday night. Earlier this week, TMZ reported that there was allegedly a ransom note that demanded millions in Bitcoin in exchange for Nancy’s return.

“However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her,” she continued.

The NBC host spoke about Nancy’s character in the clip, praising her for being “a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light.”

Savannah also described Nancy to be “funny, spunky, and clever”. Sharing through tears, Savannah added, “She has grandchildren who adore her and crowd around her and cover he with kisses. She loves fun and adventure. She is a devoted friend. she is full of kindness and knowledge, talk to her and you’ll see.”

Near the end of her video statement, Savannah expressed, “We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again.”

Savannah’s sister, Annie, who was in the social media video with her and their brother, also spoke in the clip, saying their family’s “light” was missing since their mother’s disappearance.

“Nancy is our mother, we are her children. She is our beacon,” Annie explained. “She holds fast to joy and all of life’s circumstances. She chooses joy day after day despite having already passed through great trials of pain and grief. We are always going to be merely human. Just normal human people who need our mom. Mama, if you’re listening we need you to come home. We miss you.”
